Peter joins the University Club from the Country Club of Little Rock where he served as Clubhouse Manager. His food and beverage career began more than 20 years ago at the Capital Hotel. He has extensive experience in the Food and Beverage industry and has worked as a Catering Supervisor. Peter earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and is a Certified Club Manager.

Melissa Reeves is Catering Director for The University Club. She was previously the Food and Beverage Manager and Resort Manager at Highlands Plantation Resort Community and Golf Course in Starkville Mississippi. A native Memphian, Melissa is a graduate of Mississippi State University.

Kate is the Director of Membership and Marketing. She works directly with the Board of Directors and Admissions Committee to assist prospective members with the application process. In addition to membership, Kate works with over 140 reciprocal clubs throughout the USA and internationally. She consistently adds new clubs and aids members with reservations and travel plans. Kate’s other responsibilities include website management, developing marketing materials and coordinating online bookings for the tennis department and The University Club Oasis. A native of Memphis, Kate attended the University of Tennessee.

Andrew Salguero is the Executive Chef at the University Club. He is a graduate of the Culinary Institute in Hyde Park. Prior to our club, Andy served as Chef for the Standard Club in Duluth, GA. As a Sous Chef, he studied under the Certified Master Chef Kevin Walker at the Cherokee Town and Country Club in Atlanta. Andy hosts a wealth of professional and technical expertise as well as outstanding kitchen management talents.

Adam Stempel is the Executive Sous Chef at the University Club. He is a Memphis native and a graduate of Sullivan University in Louisville, Kentucky. While in Louisville he worked under Chef Mike Cunha at the Limestone Restaurant. After Graduating he moved to Birmingham, Alabama to work under Frank Stitt. He came to us from the Memphis Country Club.

Ron Goode is the Food and Beverage Manager for The University Club. He has been at The University Club for 4 years but in the Food and Beverage industry for more than 30 years. Prior to The University Club, Ron worked at the Summit Club, Peabody Hotel and managed the Brushmark Restaurant at the Brooks Museum. He is a graduate of Murray State University.

Glenda Martin came to the University Club from 5 years with AutoZone as Executive Assistant to the Chairman and CEO via a short time with CBRE. Glenda has worked in accounting for over 30 years and has 8 years of club experience from Marsh Landing Country Club and Deercreek Country Club, both in Jacksonville, FL. She handles all the finances of the club including payroll, financial statements, human resources, employee benefits, club licenses and taxes. She works closely with the GM and the board Treasurer. |
